DAY 1: NAIROBI – ABERDARE NATIONAL PARK

In the morning after breakfast our driver will be there ready to pick you and drive to Aberdare Nataional park. The Park known for its thick mountain rainforest and bamboo woods which distinguish it from the dry savannahs of other national parks. Here, you will also find most of the park’s wildlife. The Aberdare National Park is home to elephants, buffaloes, leopards, baboons, and other primates. With a little bit of luck, you will even spot the rare Bongo antelope. If the weather conditions allow for it, you can even see Mount Kenya, the second highest mountain in Africa, in the distance. Due to the high altitude, it can get chilly and you should bring a jacket on game drives. You will spend the night on a campsite in the Aberdare National Park.
Lunch, Dinner and overnight at lodge or luxury camp

02

DAY 2: ABERDARE NATIONAL PARK – LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK

After a great breakfast at the campsite, you will leave the Aberdare National Park, heading towards the Great Rift Valley. Along the way, you make a stop in Nyahururu where you will see the highest waterfall in Kenya at 72 metres. The journey continues to Lake Nakuru National Park. This alkaline lake attracts millions of flamingos each year. The water often shimmers in hues of pink when looking from a distance, making for an iconic Kenyan photo scene. Another highlight is the population of black and white rhinos living in the park. Lake Nakuru National Park is one of the best spots to observe these endangered species. You will spend the night on a campsite in the Lake Nakuru National Park.

03

DAY 3: LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK – HELLS GATE NATIONAL PARK – LAKE NAIVASHA

You will have time for another game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park before you head to Hells Gate National Park. In Hells Gate’s dry savannah, you can spot buffaloes, zebras, eland antelopes, Thompson gazelles, baboons and more than 100 different species of birds. Today, you will stretch your legs, hiking through a spectacular gorge and take a dip in the hot springs, dusting off after the hike. Your campsite for the night is situated right at the shores of Lake Naivasha under yellow fever acacia trees. Lake Naivasha is one of the few freshwater lakes in the Great Rift Valley. In the veil of darkness, hippos will leave the water to graze on the shores. In the early evening hours, you can listen to their grazing and observe these impressive animals from a safe distance. Lunch, Dinner and overnight at lodge or luxury camp

04

DAY 4: LAKE NAIVASHA – MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE

In the early morning after breakfast, you will make your way to the Masai Mara Game Reserve. On your way, you will pass by the inactive volcanoes Mount Longonot and Mount Suswa, before you drive deeper into the land of the Masai. In the afternoon, you will have reached the Masai Mara and embark on your first game drive in Masai Mara the famous park in Kenya. The park in connection to Serengeti from Tanzania is known for its unique migration and large populations of wildlife as well as home to the Big Five. Since animals don’t adhere to border control, you can see plenty of wildlife even in the adjacent areas of the game reserve.
Lunch, Dinner and overnight at lodge or luxury camp

05

DAY 5: MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE FULL DAY

Extensive game drives through the amazing Masai Mara are the order of the day. Scouting for wildlife in the wide savannah, you will also drive to the Mara River. The Masai Mara is known for the Great Migration: millions of wildebeest and zebras follow the rains from the Serengeti in Tanzania to the savannah of the Masai Mara in Kenya, in search of greener pastures. These large herds of animals also attract many predators. Lions, leopards, cheetah, and hyenas lurk in the shadows, waiting for their next meal. The “greatest show on earth”, as the Great Migration is also known as, reaches its peak between July and September, when wildebeests and zebras crossing the crocodile infested Mara River. Crossing the river is a matter of life or death for the animals and a great spectacle of nature to observe. However, many animals stay in the Masai Mara year-round which makes the game reserve an attractive safari destination any month of the year. Lunch, Dinner and overnight at lodge or luxury camp

At Click Expedition, we understand that you came to safari in Africa to view our varied and numerous wildlife and to be immersed in our natural world. We will make sure that prime game viewing times will be utilized so you can view as much as possible. Your safari tour driver/guide and 4×4 Jeep are at your disposal at all possible times for the most exciting game viewing.

Almost all safari tours operated by Click Expedition are private per booking and are operated in our own pop-up top 4×4 Jeeps with a dedicated tour driver/guide. Our guests can form their own private groups to travel together as families or friends. We do not offer tour groups from individual bookings for medium/long-range safari tours. This is to allow for flexibility, customization, pace, and choice of safari lodge/camp preference.

Wherever and whenever possible we always bring this spirit of hospitality and complimentary services to our safari guests. For instance, we provide Meet and Greet services at the Nairobi airport and hotel shuttle transfers during your arrival and departure in Nairobi. Other complimentary tourist services include general Kenya destination and safari assistance as may be requested/required by you.

Almost all safari lodges/tented camp accommodations during your safari provide free Wi-Fi. You’ll find this available in all three accommodation levels – economy, comfort, and luxury. Wi-Fi is provided in the public areas of the safari lodges/tented camps including the reception, dining areas, and lounge. It is not provided in the individual rooms/tents. We also provide free Wi-Fi in our 4×4 Safari jeeps that receive a Wi-Fi signal about 70% of the time, depending on network coverage

East Africa is within the tropics and near the Equator, separating the northern and southern hemispheres. The tropical temperatures are relatively high on the safari route and even within the national parks/game reserves. Because you’ll need to frequently hydrate during your safari, we ensure unlimited supplies of drinking water. All Africa Kenya Safari vehicles are fitted with a cooler box or mini fridge with a constant supply of cool, bottled water. We replenish our supplies of drinking water during stops along the safari route.

It is usually not possible to extend your group sharing safari. This is because you share your safari Jeep with the other travelers in your group. And you need to leave and return to Nairobi as a group. Additionally, an extension would be subject to the availability of extended time at your accommodation. If all group tour participants agreed to such an extension and if there is availability at the accommodation, then it would be possible. An extra day on safari would also require an additional charge.

Click Expedition is proud to have the best tour guides in the business. We are happy to let our guests choose their special preference for any individual driver/guide a guest may have learned about from either recommendations or online reviews. This is however subject to the guide’s availability. Should he not be available, rest assured you will still have your choice of many excellent guides from our outstanding team.

We carefully research and choose our selection of safari lodges and tented camps to offer the best in terms of comfort, relaxation, amenities, and atmosphere during your safari. We fully understand the need for your protection against mosquitos and other insects. All rooms/tents during your safari are fitted with mosquito nets or are insect-proofed to protect you against bites. You are also advised to use insect repellent to further protect yourself especially outdoors in the evenings.

The maximum number of persons allowed in one room/tent is 3 and can be accommodated in a double bed and a single bed or with 3 single beds. Where 4 persons or more are traveling together and prefer to stay in one room/tent, we may book them in 2 rooms with interconnecting doors. For those that prefer to stay close to family or friends, we will try to book them in adjacent tents/rooms. Some safari lodges/camps have family units that will accommodate a maximum of 4 persons. This however includes an extra charge. All safari rooms/tents are private with their own bathroom/toilet.

Click Expedition does not include international flight costs in our East Africa safari tour prices. This is because Click Expedition is an inbound local Kenya tour operator and ground handling agency. Local safari tour packages operated by Click Expedition start from the Nairobi airport, Nairobi hotels, or the location of your choice within Nairobi.
